Este año pasado , la organización de Roland Garros hizo un video tributo de Guga Kuerten . Lo tituló "Heroe de Roland Garro " . Posteo este video porque otro gran heroe de Roland Garros , nuestro Juan Carlos Ferrero , comenta en este video sus opiniones sobre Kuerten y su juego . En el video , otro jugador que también aparece es el gran Lleyton Hewitt . Es bonito ver como se cuenta con Juan Carlos para hablar sobre un historico del tenis , seguro que cuando JC se retire , los de la organización le hacen uno a JC . Disfrutad !

This year , the organization of Roland Garros made a tribute video for Guga Kuerten  , who´s title was " Heroe of Roland Garros " .I post this video here because another great heroe of Roland Garros , our Juan Carlos Ferrero , comments on the video , showing his opinions about Guga´s play style . In this video , also the great Lleyton Hewitt appears talking . It´s very nice to see that people use JC as reference when doing something special for other symbolic players , i´m sure once JC decides to retire , the organization will do something similar for him . Aquí tenéis una entrevista que Juan Carlos concedió a un diario de Chile unos días antes de que comience el Open de Chile 250 , donde veremos la vuelta a las pistas de Juan Carlos Ferrero.

Here you have a interview which Juan Carlos did for a chilean newspaper some days ago . It was done because as you all know , JC will make his comeback to the courts  at Chile in the next week.

¿Cómo ha resultado su evolución tras las intervenciones que tuvo en octubre?

La primera etapa siempre es dura después de salir del quirófano, parece que los dolores no se acaban y la musculatura en parte se te atrofia. Esa etapa fue de aproximadamente seis semanas. Pero ahora ya es distinto. Estoy en la última fase, entrenando duro en la pista y en el gimnasio y en unos días espero estar al ciento por ciento.

¿Cuál es la sensación de iniciar la temporada en Chile?

Lo normal es comenzar en Australia, pero la temporada es muy larga y no pasa nada por empezar en febrero. Además me hace mucha ilusión ir por primera vez a jugar el torneo de Chile. Desde hace tiempo quería hacerlo. Decidí no ir a Australia porque quiero reaparecer estando al ciento por ciento y espero conseguirlo durante la próxima semana.

¿Qué lo motivó a jugar por primera vez el ATP de Santiago?

Es un torneo que no he jugado nunca en un país que siempre ha tenido y tiene grandes tenistas. Además, tengo muy buena relación desde hace años con el director del torneo (Alvaro Fillol). Me gustaría hacerlo bien en Chile.

Junto a David Nalbandian y Juan Mónaco encabezan el cuadro...

Ambos son muy buenos jugadores, pero además hay otros que en tierra son de los mejores del mundo. Es un cuadro muy atractivo y creo que se verá un gran nivel.

Fernando González no jugará por lesión. ¿Cómo ve su futuro, tomando en cuenta su operación a la cadera?

Yo creo que todo va a depender de su ilusión por seguir unos años más en esta actividad.

¿Pero lo ve con opciones de retornar a la elite del tenis?

Tiene calidad más que suficiente para volver a estar arriba, entre los mejores. Espero verle pronto para ver como está. Y también espero encontrármelo en los torneos en algunos años más. Le deseo mucha suerte.

Por lo visto es un buen amigo suyo, al igual que Nicolás Massú.

Son dos de los mejores jugadores de la ultima década en Chile, pero además tengo una magnífica relación con ellos. Sus éxitos les avalan. Nos conocemos desde los 13 años y puedo decir que no sólo son muy buenos como tenistas, pues también son excelentes como personas.

Juan Carlos Ferrero atendió a Nostresport ante la atenta mirada de su entrenador Antonio Martínez Cascales y un masajista que le ayudaba a ejercitar sus piernas. El coorganizador del Valencia Open 500 lleva una semana ajetreada, pero después de firmar numerosos autógrafos, no puso pegas a responder a unas cuantas preguntas mientras cumplía con su rehabilitación.

El que fue número uno tuvo palabras positivas para analizar la segunda edición de su torneo: “Va todo muy bien. Creo que los comienzos de los torneos nunca son fáciles, y que lo importante es que queremos mejorar muchísimas cosas con respecto a la pasada edición. En cuanto a asistencia de público estamos muy contentos de cómo está yendo, y en cuanto al juego también estamos contentos, porque tenemos ya un español en semifinales (en referencia a Granollers), y eso de cara a la afición española también es muy importante. Además esperamos que pueda pasar también David, David Ferrer, y bueno todo lo demás está yendo bastante bien” dijo.

Cuestionado por el exceso de luz en algunos turnos de juego y las quejas de algunos jugadores, el tenista de Ontinyent declaró que: “Creo que el año que viene estará totalmente terminada el Ágora, porque este año en el techo faltan, no sé bien cómo explicarlo, unas cosas que sí taparían la luz e impedirían que molestase a los jugadores. Pero bueno también las terminaciones y los acabados de los edificios son complicados. El año pasado ya fuimos al límite y este año aún faltan algunas cosas, pero esperamos el año que viene tenerlo todo solventado” resumió.

A pesar de la felicidad que le supone a nuestro protagonista el buen funcionamiento del Open, la alegría no es completa por no poder luchar en la pista: “Es bastante duro, porque todo ha quedado muy bien, el torneo, la pista es muy bonita, y te dan ganas de jugar siempre, pero bueno hay que verlo… (duda) si es que hay que verlo de alguna manera positiva, me tiene que servir para coger experiencia para cuando me retire de aquí a 2, 3 ó 4 años. Así entonces ya sabré lo que es estar fuera de la pista y conoceré un poco qué hay que hacer”.

Después de esta afirmación, le preguntamos con más exactitud por esa fecha en la que tiene pensada la retirada: “Es un decir, también todo influye un poco ¿no?, el tema de las operaciones también ha sido para intentar seguir dos o tres años más, o los que puedan ser, e intentar acabar lo mejor posible” declaró.

Por último, nos informó acerca de la correcta evolución que lleva su lesión: “Bueno, de la lesión estoy bien, estamos trabajando todos los días, bastante fisioterapia y muchos ejercicios, los plazos de momento están yendo bien, los médicos han dicho que dos meses, y nunca se puede asegurar pero esperamos que en ese plazo pueda volver a estar al cien por cien” concluyó.
